How to access Citrix XenApp from MAC OS X Yosemite

To Access Citrix XenApp from MAC OS X Yosemite we have to install Citrix Receiver for MAC OS X.

Download Citrix Receiver 12.0 and double click it and Click install Citrix Receiver

Click Continue

Click Continue and Click Agree

Click Install

Enter local Administrator Username and Password and click Install Software.

Click Continue. 

Click Close

Open Safari and Type XenApp URL. http://xenapp.domain.com.pk/citrix/store1web. You will see Receiver plugin is blocked. Click Trust to load the plugin

You will see login screen, Enter Domain\username and Password. Click on Log On

You will see your Published Apps and Desktops.

Click on Desktops and click on XenApp76

How to join a Mac OS X Yosemite computer to Active Directory

MAC OS X Workstation can be joined to a Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). A Domain joined MAC OS X Workstation allow users to enjoy the following. 

• A Password policy enforcement
• Support for AD users and Group accounts
• Kerberos Authentication and delegation 
• Single sign-on to local, AD and open directory resources
• Windows Home folders

We are going to Join MAC OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 to Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory Domain. Make sure that we have our Server and Client side networking is correctly configured. 

• IP Address and Subnet Mask
• A DNS hostname
• A Connection to Windows DNS Server

You can specify a DNS hostname for your Mac either by using Terminal or by using the System Preference Pane. Of course, a properly configured Windows Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server will assign your Mac workstations a correct IP address, subnet mask, and preferred DNS server address.

Open Directory Utility on Yosemite, In Spotlight search type Directory utility.

Click on Directory Utility.

Click on "Click the lock to make changes" and Enter Local User password and click Modify Configuration

Select Active Directory and click on Pen Icon to configure the selected plug-in.

Enter Active Directory Domain Name and Under Administration TAB click "Allow administration by" and click Bind

Enter Domain Administrator Username and Password and click ok.

We have successfully bind the MAC OS X to Windows Active Directory. Now its time to Login in with Domain User. Log-Out local user from MAC, Click on Other...

Enter Domain\Username and Enter Password.

You will see the User is successfully logged in to Domain.
